Wellspring Academy’s Primary Section held its annual “Culture Day”, a vibrant celebration of diversity, creativity, and unity. The event brought together students, teachers, and parents to honor the beauty of different cultures under one shared identity in Christ.

Students represented countries including DRC, India, Uganda, Botswana, Kenya, Nigeria, Israel, Eritrea, Rwanda and special presentation of local Dances of Rwanda. Dressed in traditional attire, they confidently shared presentations highlighting each nation’s history, food, language, geography, and traditions. The colorful performances showcased their knowledge, creativity, and teamwork, reflecting the richness of God’s world and the joy of learning.

More than just a cultural exhibition, the day served as a reminder that though we come from different backgrounds, we are one family created in God’s image. It also encouraged students to value global awareness, respect diversity, and express gratitude for the unique gifts each culture contributes to humanity.

Parents joined in the celebration, cheering for their children and engaging in the spirit of togetherness that defines Wellspring’s community. Their participation added warmth and meaning to the day, demonstrating that education thrives best through collaboration between school and home.

Speaking during the event, Mr. Steven Rudakemwa, the School Principal, shared:

“At Wellspring Academy, we believe that understanding and appreciating other cultures is a vital part of raising global citizens who reflect Christ’s love, unity, and respect for all people.”

In her closing remarks, Mrs. Mosmi Wilson added:

“Culture is God’s beautiful way of showing His creativity through people. When we root our culture in Christ, it becomes a reflection of His love and unity. Every song, dance, and tradition remind us that we belong to one family under God.”

The Culture Day was more than a celebration; it was a lesson in unity, respect, and identity, nurturing hearts and minds to value both their heritage and the wider world.
