This is a testament to God’s faithfulness to students, staff and the community. The pioneer graduating class has been very successful in their endeavours in Rwanda and the world. 2014 2014 In 2014, led by Principal Martine Kagabo, Wellspring Academy transitioned from the Rwandan National Curriculum to the Cambridge International Curriculum. Exposure to an international curriculum allowed students to be introduced to different ways of thinking, more student engagement, and learning outcomes that are on international standards. 2011 2011 In 2011, the secondary section opened with many more classroom blocks, a library, and other buildings built along with two full streams of students for each class from Foundation to Grade 7. Stephen Rudakemwa was appointed as the new Wellspring Academy secondary deputy principal. 2010 2010 In 2010, Wellspring Academy administered the Primary 6 National Exam. Students passed the national exams with flying colours and every student was placed in Rwanda’s Division 1 rankings. 2007 2007 In January 2007, Wellspring Academy opened its doors. The first classes were from Foundation to Grade 3 with 107 students and 7 teachers. With Rosette Muligande as the first principal of the school, she led the school very successfully with the Rwandan national curriculum. 2004 2004 In 2004, in the post-genocide nation of Rwanda, there was a desperate need for a Christian school with Biblically integrated values for Rwanda and its children. Listening to the local stories of this necessity, Richard Taylor and Jeffrey Komant, founded the Wellspring Academy. The vision was from Christian Life Assembly church to equip godly servant leaders to bless Rwanda and display the best of Rwanda to the world. The construction efforts began soon after on the first two blocks of classrooms.
